The atr type rating is one of the ratings a pilot should consider having. Although there are so many courses that a pilot can take, the atr is really different from the others because of how it was made. The course can be taken on a laptop, I cannot advise the use of phones. The best way to enjoy the course is to make use of a laptop or an iPad to access online or download it for offline viewing. It is suitable for recurrent ground school theory training. It is not selective and can be played on any LMS of your choice.

While taking the atr type rating course, you may also take a final examination but this depends on the airlines and where you are taking the training course from. The module includes Air Conditioning-Pressurization, Aircraft General, Communications, Crew Alerting System Electrical, Emergency Equipment, Engines Oil-Fuel Systems, Engines Propeller Control Engines-Propeller System, Fire Protection, Flight Controls, AFCS, TCAS, Oxygen, hydraulics, Lightening, Navigation, landing gear breaks, and few others. All of this is what is contained in the module. The module contains everything that a pilot needs to know about. Flying an aircraft without knowing all of this is as a pilot is flying amiss. You can use a laptop, a MacBook, or an iPad.
